A Thorough Indepth Explanation Of Media’s Obsession With Kevin Rudd

The LNP are in love with former Prime Minister Kevin Rudd. The media are in love with former Prime Minister Kevin Rudd (but I repeat myself). The LNP voters, if you believe the LNP cheerleaders in the media, are in love with Kevin Rudd.

There is “Ruddmentum” for a “Ruddstoration”. There are entire newspapers and news sites that devote article after article to bringing back Kevin Rudd as Prime Minister.

The Prime Minister who was voted out of his seat in the 2007 election, John Howard, will be on the LNP leaning Channel 9′s 60 Minutes tonight to talk about Ruddstoration. Yeah right, because John Howard truly has the best intentions in his heart for the ALP.

So, after much thorough analysis, I have a graphic that will explain this LNP-media drive obsession with Kevin Rudd.

This ‘Peanuts’ cartoon from Charles M Schulz, shows a long running gag, Lucy promises she won’t remove the football, and every time Charlie Brown falls for it. He runs up, Lucy removes the football, Charlie Brown falls flat on his back.

Actually, this doesn’t need thorough or indepth analysis, it can all be explained with a simple ‘Peanuts’ cartoon. The media pushing for a return to Rudd is nothing more than media hype and LNP spin.

Kevin Rudd is Charlie Brown. Lucy is the LNP-cheerleaders in the media. Any change in Prime Minister will see the media remove the football as soon Kevin Rudd makes his final run, and the ALP will land flat on their back.

The media are toying with the ALP. They start these Ruddmentum stories and the ALP run around like headless chickens, in a panic.

And the Labor party fall for it every time.

Do they not realise that the only people who will be happy with a return to Kevin Rudd as Prime Minister are those who wish to inflict on Australia the most extreme right-wing Abbott LNP government this country will have ever seen.

  1. The ALP just don’t believe in themselves, even though their actual achievements would beg to differ. On the other hand, the LNP totally believe in themselves and in their innate superiority, even though actual supporting facts would beg to differ

    • A house divided cannot stand and I am afraid that Labor is still having its internal problems. What about us – the people they represent? What about taking our interests into account?
If Mr Rudd wantts an ambassador ship , I suggest Labor promise him one. He surely would have more faith in getting it from tham rather than J Bishop and co?

      • I still havent decided if Rudd is encouraging all of this, or the media are using him to destabilise the ALP, perhaps a bit of both. Either way, the result is it is not good for the party, and a possible Abbott led government, which will not be good for Australia

      • KRUDD13 knows exactly what he’s doing and the very fact that he continues to offer apparently-innocent “commentary” proves that what he really wants is revenge – at any price to the party he really doesn’t feel part of (the feeling probably being mutual). It also proves conclusively that’s he’s still not fit for that office.

  2. Are the ALP really running around like chickens with their heads cut off, or they just letting the LNP/MSM play their own little mind games. All of this is just another ‘look over there’ stunt to deflect away from LNP lack of policy.

    • Correct, the ALP may not be running around like headless chickens, the media are treating ALP politicians as if they are, reporting their every scratching and cluck as if it’s news.
One can only hope on election night, the Right wing media will be like Karl Rove was in the US elections, denying what he was seeing, as the results came in.

  3. The Rudd alternative is destined to fail. And if Rudd is prepared to accept a change in leadership he’s a bigger fool than I give him credit for! Unless Labor can present a united front until September they are destined to lose.
And that will be an unmitigated disaster for Australia with 3/4 terms of a NO Coalition with Tony Abbott as the Prime Minister. And I guess you might even consider that Labor, in its turmoil, was ultimately to blame for the NO Coalition victory!

    • Time to put egos aside, does Rudd want to be leader of the Opposition, or fill in time on the back benches for a year or two then cruise straight into the Ambassadorship of his choice, but it seems as if the Libs have made him all sorts of promises, and he might think something from them for causing the ALP to lose the election is better than nothing from the ALP. But if the LNP wins, he won’t get anything from them either.

  4. Nailed it in one.

  5. Sense, sense and more sense, thanks. Well written.

  6. If the Prime Minister, Julia Gillard ,is doing so badly, is so hopeless and so incompetent( as they claim) then why on earth would they want to get rid of her? Wouldn’t it be in their best interests to let her stay?

Then , when they win the resounding victory that all the MSM polls predict they can all be proved right.

So I guess that all isn’t what it seems, and the Prime Minister is actually their toughest opponent.
Also all this sort of chatter always intensifies prior to a Newspoll, (just sayin’)

    • Exactly, they fear PM Julia Gillard, and its easier to make the ALP so paranoid they will take her out, rather than take their chances at an election, the voting public is so unpredictable.

  7. You’ve hit the nail right on the head there mate! I’d like to see the Labor party throw an emergency leadership meeting … and not turn up! Just leave the media fools flapping around interviewing each other.
