What Is Truthiness? When Opinion Replaces Facts

Truthiness was a word invented by Stephen Colbert during his “The Wørd” segment on his The Colbert Report, October 17, 2005.

It means: a quality characterizing a truth that a person claims to know intuitively from the gut or because it feels right without regard to evidence, logic, intellectual examination, or facts Source: here

Stephen Colbert says:

It used to be, everyone was entitled to their own opinion, but not their own facts. But that’s not the case anymore. Facts matter not at all. Perception is everything.

For conservatives it means invent a new truth
