Tony Abbott: born overseas and arrived in Australia as a boat person

Tony Abbott says a lot of things, especially if you listen to the political pundits in mainstream media, Abbott never stops saying things, and the media never stop reporting what he says breathlessly without questioning. He also says a lot about refugees who arrive by boat, rather than refugees who arrive by plane. Tony Abbott says he would turn the boats around, and he would stop the boats, and have the navy escort the boats back into international waters.

What Tony Abbott does not say, loudly, is that he himself was born overseas (London, England) and as a child got on a boat (SS Oronsay) and came to Australia (in 1961).
