Tony Abbott says: No doesn’t always mean no… not if a man wants sex

In Tony Abbott world No doesn’t always mean “NO”.

In a discussion on ABC’s ‘Q and A’, the topic of ‘Religion, Sex and Politics’, Tony Abbott said that women don’t always have the right to say ‘no’. (transcript here: QandA)

Apparently a persons right to say No is moderated by the other persons demand for sex.

I think there does need to be give and take on both sides, and this idea that sex is kind of a woman’s right to absolutely withhold, just as the idea that sex is a man’s right to demand I think they are both they both need to be moderated, so to speak.

Coming from a man who says women should save themselves for marriage, at the same time he spent most of his life believing he got his unmarried 19-year-old girlfriend pregnant… one has to think when it comes to sex, poor old Tony is sending mixed signals.

Think again Tony…. As former PM John Howard said “We will decide who comes to this count-ry and the circumstances in which they come.”
