and more “Celebrating” a “Happy ANZAC Day” around the country and the world, featuring Kochie

no disrespect meant for anyone included here, just next year, perhaps choose different words

What, no spruiking of Sunrise and dawn service?

Australian band, touring nationally, go see them, and wish them Happy Slaughtered Soldiers’ Day, they might appreciate that

You read correctly, happy Anzac day, now take a cruise on the Titanic sister ship – some companies really should think twice about their social media strategy

Well, the man is a retired footballer player, perhaps too many knocks to the head

Thank you Mary, the Wall Street Journal editorial board member & former Asia opinion editor – fireworks and party hats all around

And now for a non-stop-block of FM radio – American schlock coming from the NSW South Coast- Ah, Taylor Swift, embodies the true spirit of the Anzacs

You mean a buy one choc top, get one free? Generations of Australian and New Zealand families wretched apart when their sons and daughters when to war will be proud their lives had meaning

Because nothing says respect the dead like a hot yoga…. unless it is tenpin bowling!

And that is the final piece in the complete devaluing of Anzac day beyond all meaning. Although I think she might mean oi oi oi, like British skin heads used to chant in the 70s

“Celebrating” a “Happy ANZAC Day” around the country and the world

no disrespect meant for anyone included here, just next year, perhaps choose different words

et tu Women’s Weekly? Who does your tweets, the 15year old work experience kid?

Cookies? Seriously – cookies?

This gem is from an Australian model in LA… maybe you should stay there, and when September 11 rolls around, wish US Americans a Happy 9/11

I think that kiss on the end of the tweet, just makes it extra special… or maybe it is just the tweeter who is special

Yup, clearly history is not their strong point

In New Zealand, they celebrate AnzAC day by chilling with some buffalo wings and watching USAmerican ice hockey – all those dead diggers would be so proud they sacrificed their lives for that

What is next? NZ pork producers celebrating Happy Holocaust Day?

No sweetie, USAmerica does not celebrate Anzac Day, neither do Australians or New Zealanders

That little heart, the diggers appreciate the effort

Well-wishes from this Canadian bobsledder

You Suck, Wharf Hotel, Melbourne, and you score bonus points for gratuitous use of the Australian flag

Celebrate Anzac Day – with a bucket of popcorn and cola beverage

That time of year again, when the media and large corporations tell us that we celebrate ANZAC day. Yes, because nothing quite says PARTY like the anniversary of a military bloodbath.

This shameful glorifcation of war was a feature of the Howard years, and Anzac day morphed into a celebration, instead of the sombre commemoration it should be.

For all the reporters out there who went straight from Uncle Ruperts Night School of Journalism to holding a microphone in front of a camera: Celebration is not actually a synonym for commemoration, no matter how many times you repeat it.

So, no, Events cinema, I will not celebrate Anzac day with you, no matter how cheap your tickets.
